Penarth Pier

This elegant Victorian pier extends into the Severn Estuary and is considered one of the finest examples of pier architecture in Wales. Built in 1895, it offers handsome views across to the Somerset coast and houses a popular pavilion with cafe and gift shop. It sits in Cardiff's Cardiff Bay, close to the other main sights.
